Originally from Moldova and raised in Romania, Vjack Schema was already deep in music before ever touching a turntable. Raised between music school, endless listening, and a growing obsession with rhythm, he spent his early years learning piano, flute, and a little violin. Music was never simply a hobby - it was a language he understood instinctively, something close to spiritual.
But his real education began somewhere else: the dancefloor.
At 15 years old - long before it was legal - he was already finding ways into clubs. Whether that meant slipping past security, negotiating with bouncers, or simply refusing to leave before the set had done its work, the mission was simple: get inside and listen.
That obsession eventually moved from the dancefloor to the booth.
His ear was shaped around Studio Martin, Sunrise parties, and Sunwaves - spaces where he learned to listen closely, follow a groove, and understand how a room can move as one.
Today he plays vinyl-only sets, treating records like instruments. After more than 17 years of collecting records, expect a groove-heavy journey through techno, minimal, and house, shaped by instinct rather than formula. No sync buttons, no shortcuts - just crates, turntables, and a deeply trained ear.
After six years in Shanghai, with gigs across China, Romania, and Barcelona, Vjack Schema is available for international bookings. Across Europe, he has followed the worlds of Arpiar and Ricardo Villalobos, continuing a musical path shaped by deep listening, movement, and discovery. His sets move between hypnotic rhythm, dubby pressure, and playful, unexpected turns - moments that pull the room in before it even realises what happened.
Always digging. Always listening. Always searching for the next record that makes the whole room lock together.
